Metal Refining Business Advantages in PIC, Republic of Congo

Iron Rich Terrain: The RoC's Mayoko region is known for its high-grade iron ore deposits, estimated in the billions of tons. Developing this resource could position the RoC as a major iron ore supplier.
Infrastructure Development: The RoC government is investing in infrastructure projects, particularly railway networks, to improve access to mining areas and facilitate iron ore transportation to ports.
Limited Refining Capacity: The RoC currently lacks large-scale metal refining facilities. Most mined metals are exported as concentrates or raw materials for refining elsewhere. This reduces the value captured by the RoC and limits job creation within the domestic economy.
Copper: Given the RoC's copper reserves and growing global demand, establishing a copper refinery could be a strategic move.
Steel Industry: Refining iron ore into steel presents an opportunity to create a domestic steel industry, fostering further economic development.
